Post – Process & CAM Engineer Our client is having 5 decades of experience in manufacturing precision components and assemblies for Aerospace and Defense applications. Our reputation for excellence is underscored by our status as the sole supplier of the PS4, the fourth stage Liquid Propulsion Engines for the PSLV launch vehicle, to ISRO. Qualifications: 1. 7-9 years of CAM programming and Process Engineering experience in Aerospace and Defence manufacturing companies, or a related precision manufacturing industry. 2. Proficiency in CAM software, such as Mastercam, NX Siemens, CATIA CAM, or equivalent, with a strong understanding of toolpath generation and machining strategies. 3. Knowledge of aerospace materials, machining processes, and CNC programming techniques relevant to aerospace applications. 4. Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and convey technical information. 5. Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and precision in manufacturing operations. 6. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks to meet production deadlines. 7. Experience with CNC machining equipment and operations, including milling and turning. Experience with multi-axis machining centres is preferred. 8. Willingness to adapt to evolving technologies and industry trends, with a passion for innovation in aerospace manufacturing. Responsibilities: 1. Collaborate with CAD designers and 3D modelling engineers to understand manufacturing process specifications, GDCT requirements of the component. 2. Utilize CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, NX CAM, CATIA CAM) to generate toolpaths, machining programs, and instructions for manufacturing aerospace parts. 3. Optimize manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, minimize production time, and reduce costs while maintaining high quality and precision standards. 4. Conduct feasibility studies and machining simulations to validate manufacturing processes and identify areas for optimization or improvement. 5. Define machining parameters, including cutting speeds, feeds, and tool selections, based on material properties, part geometry, and manufacturing requirements. 6. Collaborate with CNC machinists and operators to implement NC programming and provide technical support as needed. 7. Develop and maintain documentation, including CAM Sheets, work instructions, and tool lists, to ensure consistency and repeatability in manufacturing operations. 8. Perform post-process verification and inspection of machined parts to ensure compliance with design specifications and quality standards. 9. Troubleshoot and resolve manufacturing issues, including tooling problems, machining errors, and surface finish discrepancies, to maintain production schedules. 10. Stay updated on advancements in CAM software, machining technologies, and aerospace materials to continuously improve manufacturing practices and capabilities. .
